New Jersey dark alternative music festival Dark Force Fest arrives this weekend

Vampirefreaks is celebrating the dark alternative scene with a massive music festival in the Garden State.

The three-day event goes down this weekend (March 31 - April 2) at The Sheraton (199 Smith Rd) in Parsippany, New Jersey, and it’ll feature a ton of live musical performances and events.

Friday will see performances from acts such as Health, Psyclon Nine, and Rabbit Junk as well as New Jersey-based acts Panic Lift and Life Cried. Saturday will find attendees dancing to acts such as Combichrist, Danny Blu, Vision Video, and Josie Pace. Sunday will close things with performances from Suicide Commando, Interface, GenCAB, and Solar Fake. A daily list of bands can be seen below.

Aside from music, there will be a slew of panels of all kinds, including goth networking 101, a Dark Force costume contest, and a New Jersey industrial panel featuring Panic Lift, Life Cried, and Xentrifuge. A list of panels can be seen here.

A pre-party will take place on Thursday (March 30) at Newark’s QXT’s (248 Mulberry St) from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The event is free for three-day ticket holders and $10 for everyone else.

A full schedule of events can be found here. Three-day, single day, and kid’s tickets (Sunday only - under 14 years old) for Dark Force Fest can still be purchased here. More information about Dark Force Fest can be found here.
