Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight shows headed to Disney+
The biennial D23 Expo is taking place this weekend, and Marvel fans wanted some major Disney+ news. Fortunately, they got it with the reveal of television shows based on Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight today.
Fans have wanted to see these characters enter the MCU for years. In June, Mindy Kailing revealed Marvel had plans to bring Ms. Marvel to life. In 2017, James Gunn revealed he pitched a Moon Knight movie to Marvel. Moon Knight was originally slated to appear in Blade: The Series before the show’s cancellation. A Moon Knight TV show was in the works in 2006, but those plans were nixed. A She-Hulk movie was planned for the early ‘90s with Brigitte Nielsen playing the title character. While photos of Nielsen dressed as She-Hulk exist, the movie was never finished.
While these announcements were great, some folks are wondering about New Warriors, which was slated to be released last year. Following Freeform’s decision to not air the program, the show was put on the shelf.
Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight join an impressive slew of Marvel shows heading to the streaming service. In fall 2020, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will premiere. Spring 2021 will see the premieres of WandaVision and a Loki series. A Hawkeye series will be released in the fall of 2021. An animated What If? series is also in the works.
Disney+ will launch on November 12 with the monthly price of $6. Head to their website for more information.
