MotionRec hits the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in April

Tape recorder-themed puzzle action game MotionRec will land on consoles next month.

Announced yesterday, the game will launch on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 on April 2. The game previously launched on PC via Steam back in October. An announcement trailer can be seen here.

A synopsis for MotionRec reads:

MotionRec is a tape recorder themed puzzle action game built around the concept of recording and playback. Use this ability to guide Rec, the civilization-recording robot, through a devastated world. Record the trajectory of your movements and play them back to interact with the unique and different levels and terrain.

You can record the trajectory of your movements, from walking to jumping. Use stage gimmicks to create and record more complex movements.

Even high places you can't normally reach...

Can be accessed by recording upward movement! Even if a place looks too far away to reach, or even if there's nothing to stand on, you can access any place you want.

You'll need to work hard and come up with creative solutions to get through the puzzle-filled stages. Make good use of the MotionRec ability to traverse the devastated world ruled by machines.

MotionRec can be wishlisted on the Nintendo eShop here while PlayStation 5 wishlisting can be found here. The game is currently on sale on Steam for 20% off until March 19 here.
