Multi-instrumentalist Madeline Johnston b.k.a. Midwife has unveiled the first single from their forthcoming studio album Luminol.

The track “Christina’s World” comes equipped with a music video directed by Alana Wool, which you can see below. The track features additional vocals/keyboards from labelmate Dan Barrett (Have A Nice Life) and additional guitars by Tucker Theodore (Buffalo Voice, Gunmothers Head).

Arriving on July 16th via The Flenser, Luminol will also feature contributions from Angel Diaz (Vyva Melinkolya), Zachary Cole Smith, Ben Newman, and Colin Caulfield (DIIV). The six-track album is available for pre-order here. Luminol is the follow-up to last year’s Forever, which landed on our Top Albums of 2020 list.
