U.K. electronic folk artist Jayne Dent bka Me Lost Me has announced their new EP titled The Circle Dance today.
The five-song release, which follows their 2020 album The Good Noise, will arrive on October 1. The first single (and opening track) from the EP titled “Acrobat On The Roof” comes with a music video directed by Dent and Amelia Read at Penshaw Monument with an appearance from step clog dancer Heather Ferrier. Dent said this about the new track:
"It was written during my time as Artist in Residence at Sage Gateshead after reading up on alternative economic models and witnessing a huge surge in the formation of mutual aid groups in 2020
I imagine it as an interaction between two characters, one taking a break from their work and sitting on a roof and enjoying the view, the other on the ground below passing them, a snippet of a mundane interaction in an imaginary future."
Pre-orders for the EP can be made here.
