Virginia rapper McKinley Dixon has dropped single number two from their forthcoming studio album For My Mama And Anyone Who Look Like Her.
The artist’s new single "Swangin'" can be heard below. When it comes to the new track, Dixon stated:
"I usually don’t have one person produce all the instrumentals on songs of mine but Letjoux isn’t just anybody. Living in Richmond, this beat Josh (Letjoux) made just sounded so Virginia, I had to rap over it. It sort of fills the void of wanting to make a song that had the feel of children banging on a lunch room table."
Pre-orders for For My Mama And Anyone Who Look Like Her can be made here. The 11-track album, which arrives on May 7 via Spacebomb Records, features the previously released single “make a poet Black.”
