Mazda joins JDM: Japanese Drift Master, standalone prologue launching August 8
JDM: Japanese Drift Master will have another major car manufacturer join the game.
Announced yesterday, players will be able to drive Mazda cars in the racing game, which is developed by Gaming Factory. Mazda joins Subaru as official car manufacturers in the game.
A free to play, standalone prologue titled JDM: Rise of the Scorpion will be released on August 8 via Steam here. Official gameplay footage of the prologue can be seen here. A synopsis for JDM: Rise of the Scorpion reads:
JDM: Rise of the Scorpion is a game introducing the narrative aspect of JDM: Japanese Drift Master. Players will discover the story of Hatori Hasashi and his way of becoming the titular ‘Scorpion’. An exemplary student and a son of a traditional Japanese family, he brings his pride and arrogance to the racetrack, where various rivals await.
Compete, drift, and race on kilometers of varied roads and winding mountain trails to earn the title of the best hashiriya in the area.
The story from JDM: Rise of the Scorpion will continue in the full version of the game. Characters portrayed in this unique introduction will return in JDM: Japanese Drift Master.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be released on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store.
