Massachusetts singer-songwriter Maxshh has unveiled their new single "Thanks For The Crabapples."

Inspired by popular animated series Adventure Time, the song comes with an animated music video created by Jim Warren. Maxshh said this about the single:

"It’s no secret that I love cartoons, and the lyrics to this are from a favorite Adventure Time episode. Without spoiling too much, Giuseppe is a speechless vagrant who inexplicably ends up on a wizard road trip. He briefly hops off the bus to fetch crabapples for the crew and gets left behind. Afterwards, they discover some words he scribbled on a piece of toilet paper, and it brings everyone to tears. The profundity of this poem typifies a characteristic Adventure Time device in which a seemingly silly moment reveals a disarmingly sincere and often heartrending core."

"Thanks For The Crabapples" stems from Maxshh’s forthcoming studio album Bonus Flowers, which will be released on September 24 via Exploding In Sound Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
