Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Open announced for this Sunday (Mario Day)
Nintendo will celebrate Mario Day (March 10) with a special Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament.
Announced today, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Open will allow players to battle each other in a six-hour tournament from 12 p.m. PST to 6 p.m. PST. The top 310 players will each walk away with 1,000 My Nintendo Gold Points. The tournament code for entry is 3409-7365-4571. A detailed list of tournament rules can be found here.
While you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to play, Nintendo is offering a free 14-day trial to their membership, which also includes access to a slew of Nintendo Entertainment System Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color titles. The free offer, which can be found here, ends on March 17.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe recently took the title of best-selling Mario game ever with over 60 million copies sold since its release in 2017.
