Maida Rose release new single "Fallen"
Dutch dream-pop act Maida Rose have unveiled their new single “Fallen” today.
The track was written back in 2019 when band member Roos Meijer moved to London. An accompanying music video for the release, which can be seen below was directed by Philine van den Hul, who said this about the visual:
"In my work as an artist I love to embrace romance, melancholy, desire and the intangible. We shot the video in the beautiful Museum Dedel, which is an old house from 1642 and was a perfect setting for the reminiscent theme of the song."
Maida Rose said this about the new song:
"Fallen’ was the final puzzle piece that was needed to finish our debut album ‘Tales of Adolescence’. A song about reminiscing a previous relationship and wondering about why it ended. Written in London, and inspired by William Blake’s poem ‘The Little Girl Lost’, it questions the final moments before going separate ways and takes you on a melancholic dreampop journey."
Tales of Adolescence will be released on March 25 via Believe Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
