Lupin the 3rd spinoff anime series Lupin Zero to debut on HIDIVE this December
A new spinoff anime series in the Lupin the 3rd franchise will arrive later this year.
Announced yesterday, Lupin Zero will debut on anime streaming service HIDIVE on Sunday, December 16. The anime series will run for six episodes.
A synopsis for the show reads:
Lupin III, a bored junior high schooler in Tokyo, takes an interest in a young Daisuke Jigen, a mysterious and impressive marksman. Lupin III strikes up a conversation with Jigen at a nightclub, however during their talk, Jigen concludes that Lupin III is simply a privileged and naïve boy from a well-to-do family and doesn’t want anything to do with him. However, while helping the nightclub singer Yoko, who is being pursued by the yakuza, Jigen learns that Lupin III is a descendant of the legendary thief…
Anime NYC attendees will be able to attend the world premiere screening of Lupin Zero at the convention on Friday, November 18 at 6:30 p.m. Lupin Zero will reunite Lupin The 3rd Part 5 crew members Daisuke Sakou (director), Ichirou Okouchi (series supervisor), Asami Taguchi (character designer) and animation studio Telecom Animation Film.
