Los Angeles synth rock band theSTART announce benefit concert at Alex's Bar (Long Beach) in May

Los Angeles synth rock band theSTART are getting back together to raise money for an old friend.
Announced today, the band will hold a benefit concert at Alex’s Bar in Long Beach on Saturday, May 21 with doors opening at 2 p.m. Proceeds from the show will go towards cancer treatment costs for Michelle Payne, who’s been handling merch for TheSTART for years. Forming in 1998, theSTART unveiled three studio albums, including 2007’s Ciao, Baby on Metropolis Records. In 2017, the band unveiled the singles "Yvonne DeCarlo” and “Magic Number," which was their first new songs since Ciao, Baby. theSTART’s last live performance was at AYLB & OMFUB back in 2019.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker.
