Los Angeles singer-songwriter Miya Folick releases new single “Bad Thing"
Los Angeles singer-songwriter Miya Folick unveiled their new song “Bad Thing” today.
The song was co-written by Folick, Mitski and Andrew Wells with co-production duties from Wells and Gabe Wax. A music video for the song directed by Ruby Caster can be seen below. Folick said this about the song:
“The day I wrote this song, I woke up with a first-class, absolutely soul crushing hangover, after having slept for a couple fretful hours. I wasn't the kind of person who could hide a hangover, so I told Mitski and Andrew what was going on. We wrote this song. It’s about being stuck in a cycle of behavior that you can't get out of, but it's not bleak. There's hope in the song. I always knew that I would get out of that cycle eventually.”
“Bad Thing,” which is available on digital services right now, stems from Folick’s forthcoming EP 2007, which will be released on September 9 via Nettwerk. Pre-saves can be made here.
Folick will have a handful of headlining shows in the United States before heading out to Europe for a trek supporting Tove Lo. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public here.
