Los Angeles psych-pop band SWIMM announce new album 'Best Comedown Ever,' unveil new song
Los Angeles psych-pop band SWIMM will unveil their sophomore studio album this summer.
Announced yesterday, the band will drop Best Comedown Ever on August 10. To celebrate the announcement, they released the first single from the nine-track album titled "Talk To Me." Vocalist Chris "Cookie" Hess said this about the new song:
"As most of my friends know, I've been a mega-fan of Rihanna for quite some time now — the apex of my allegiance being the summer after her album Anti came out. It fueled a very memorable summer for me, steeped in some of the wildest times I've ever had in my life...all-night shows at our warehouse The Cube, friendships flourishing over shared devotions, and exploring LA through a heightened sense of freedom. 'Kiss it Better' was my favorite song off Anti so I added that line in the chorus and from there wrote a fairly simple depiction of a love story I had the joy of witnessing a whole bunch that summer, between our dear friends Wyatt & Bailee. The song's a bit of a time capsule for me in that way."
"Talk To Me” is available on digital services right now.
