Los Angeles indie rock artist Stephanie Hatzinikolis dropped their new single “Weed and Whisky” yesterday.

The track was released to celebrate Hatzinikolis’ one year of sobriety. The artist further explains:

“It’s no secret that I’ve shared my sobriety journey online and let me say, it’s been no walk in the park!

Weed and Whisky not only honors my one year sobriety milestone, but it also shows the darker elements I’ve faced along the way; things like feelings of depression, temptations, isolation, and the realization that so much time has been lost.

Though there are darker themes, ultimately the idea is to be honest, vulnerable, and to share the perseverance of the human spirit. I hope that this song inspires (sober or not) to make the most of life NOW, in the present.”

“Weed and Whisky” is available on digital services right now.
