Los Angeles' AVOX (Actors Voice Over Experience) postpones July 2022 event, moves to spring 2023
Less than a month before its inaugural debut, AVOX (Actors Voice Over Experience) will be moving things to next year.
Announced today, the convention, which was originally slated to go down on Independence Day weekend at the Pasadena Convention Center, will now take place in spring 2023.
A statement from the convention sent in a newsletter to fans reads:
“We are sad -- but in some ways also excited -- to share with you the news that unfortunately we are going to need to reschedule our inaugural event from July 2-3, 2022 to spring 2023. Some of the key stakeholders in AVOX -- including many of the game publishers, sponsors and some of the booked talent -- are now expressing conflicts with that date, and they asked us if we could reconsider moving it to early 2023. In addition, we did a fan poll recently in which 85% of the fans said they wanted to come to AVOX, but the current July timing was not ideal for them.
So we are happily taking this input, and will shortly announce a new date in spring 2023 for our inaugural AVOX event. It will still be at the Pasadena Convention Center, with separate activations in the historic Civic Auditorium, the convention space and the ballrooms. We're also going to take this opportunity to adjust the format somewhat, again based on fan input.
So you don’t need to do a thing – when we have the new dates and more information, we’ll send you an e-mail with fresh ticket offers and promotions.
We hope you'll "roll" with us to the new date, because we know AVOX will be the biggest new fan event for Anime, Gaming and Animation in 2023 -- so we hope you'll join us there.”
AVOX is co-produced by Comikaze Entertainment, Inc. & PCB Entertainment, Inc.
