KochiKame will be available in English for the first time on YouTube

Police anime series KochiKame will finally be available for English-speaking audiences.

Anime distributor REMOW will deliver the entire 373-episode run on their It’s Anime YouTube channel. Episode one is available right now here. One episode will be released with English subtitles per week.

A synopsis for KochiKame reads:

Ryotsu Kankichi, or Ryo-san for short, is an unconventional cop working at the local police station who loves money. Together with famous celebrities like Nakagawa and Reiko, his strict boss Police Chief Ohara, and other wildly unique characters, he gets everyone caught up in all sorts of hijinks!

The KochiKame anime series originally ran from 1996 to 2004 in Japan. The series also spawned two animated theatrical film releases: Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo the Movie in 1999 and Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Kōen-mae Hashutsujo the Movie 2: UFO Shūrai! Tornado Daisakusen!! in 2003.
