Kali Uchis releases “If It’s To Be" from Netflix's Maya and the Three

Grammy-winning singer Kali Uchis has released the track “If It’s To Be" from Netflix's animated film Maya and the Three.
The single was co-written by Gustavo Santaolalla and Paul Williams. A lyric video for the track, which features animation from Maya and the Three can be seen below. “If It’s To Be” is available on digital services right now.
Uchis has had an eventful 2021 with their single “Telepatía” going viral on TikTok. Thanks to the popular social media platform, the song peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Uchis’ 2020 album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) landed on the Billboard Top 200 chart for the first time with its peak at number 52. Last month, Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) won for Latin Pop Album of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Maya and the Three, which arrives on Netflix on October 22, follows a warrior princess named Maya, who must find three warriors in order to defeat the gods of the underworld. Created by Jorge R. Gutiérrez, the film features Zoe Saldaña, Gabriel Iglesias, and Diego Luna. The official soundtrack and score for Maya and the Three will also drop that same day.
