Kaho Shibuya DLC announced for Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate will bring one popular anime convention guest to its video game.
Revealed yesterday, Kaho Shibuya will be featured as a playable character. The DLC pack will also include a new Los Angeles stage, four new enemy mob characters, and cameos from Los Angeles-based food truck Okamoto Kitchen and Japan-based 3D latte art shop Latte Pocket. A special song from Phantom Breakers featuring Shibuya on vocals titled “WISH” will be released alongside the DLC drop. An announcement trailer can be seen here.
Shibuya said this about the collaboration:
"My favorite game genre has always been 2D side-scrolling Beat 'em Ups, so to be in such a game as a menacingly strong DLC character is a dream come true. This playable Kaho is an amalgamation of a magical girl and a baker, prismatic and sweet. Regarding the former, of course it's every girl's fantasy, especially when you grew up watching anime like Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, and Madoka Magica. For the latter, I wanted a unique weapon to stand out, and thought of a baguette as a weapon first, which was inspired from some of my favorite games. This character is from all my nerdy thoughts, and I hope you enjoy beating up enemies with it."
On July 4 at Anime Expo, Shibuya will discuss their character’s creation at the panel titled From Concept to Reality: Bringing Kaho Shibuya’s Game Character to Life. The panel will run from 2:45 p.m. to 3:35 p.m. at room 404AB.
