Johnny Yong Bosch to return as Vash The Stampede in Trigun Stampede

The English dub of Trigun Stampede is coming later this month, and one person is slated to return to the role that changed their career forever.
Announced today, Johnny Yong Bosch will reprise their role of Vash The Stampede from the original Trigun anime. Since doing Trigun, Bosch’s 20+ year voice acting career featured roles in projects such as Durarara!!, Persona 4, Naruto, and Sailor Moon.
In a statement, Bosch said:
"Voicing Vash the Stampede in the original TRIGUN series is a role that literally launched my voice over career and I am extremely excited to voice him again in this all-new anime adaptation from Orange. I look forward to going on this adventure with fans once more and hope new audiences enjoy the journey as well.”
ADR Director Jeremy Inman also said:
“TRIGUN is anime royalty and I can’t wait to work with Johnny Yong Bosch in bringing it back to life with this new and fresh take, promising old fans the same gun-slinging action while bringing in new fans as well with amazing animation, characters, and story.”
The English dub premiere will arrive on Crunchyroll on January 21.
A synopsis for Trigun Stampede reads:
Vash the Stampede’s a joyful gunslinging pacifist, so why does he have a $$6 million bounty on his head? That’s what’s puzzling rookie reporter Meryl Stryfe and her jaded veteran partner when looking into the vigilante only to find someone who hates blood. But their investigation turns out to uncover something heinous—his evil twin brother, Millions Knives.
