Jesus Piece is officially dead

Rising metalcore band Jesus Piece is no more.
Revealed today on Instagram, three members of the band (drummer Luis Aponte and guitarists John Distefano and David Updike) shared an update stating Jesus Piece disbanded a long time ago due to an undisclosed member quitting the band. Left out of the signature is vocalist Aaron Heard, who recently posted that Jesus Piece (labeled as Je$us Piece) will be performing at One Big Party in Phoenix, Arizona alongside Yung Lean, Big Boy, and Nettspend. The photo used for Je$us Piece only features Heard, which means this will probably be Heard and some hired people playing Jesus Piece songs.
A full statement from Luis, John, and David reads:
“Jesus Piece has been dead for some time. A member quit abruptly for personal reasons and we felt wrong continuing without him.
Anything you see associated with this name or similar, playing our music and using our art, is not related to anything we worked for over the last 10 years.
We are proud of everything we did and it changed our live forever. To try and continue that without us or in spite of us, is a mockery of what we’ve done and tried to do.
Thank you all for everything!
Lu, John, Dave“
Jesus Piece’s last studio album was 2023’s ...So Unknown, which was released on Century Media.
