Irish indie rock band The Academic release new single “My Very Best”

Irish indie rock band The Academic have unveiled their new song “My Very Best” today.

The single comes with a music video filmed at the matchmaking festival Lisdoornvarna by Tearjerker Films.

Vocalist Craig Fitzgerald said this about the new song, which is out on digital services right now:

“We wanted to write something that could encapsulate the heavy heartedness and cruelty of feeling like you can’t emotionally provide a relationship with what it needs to survive.”

“My Very Best” comes from The Academic’s new studio album Sitting Pretty, which will be released on February 10 via Capitol Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here.
