Influential hardcore band SSD release new "Boiling Point" music video
Influential hardcore band SSD has unveiled a music video for their classic song “Boiling Point.”
The song stems from the band’s previously out-of-print 1982 debut album The Kids Will Have Their Say. Originally limited to 1,900 copies, the album will be available on streaming services for the first time ever on November 17 via Trust Records. The album will also see a vinyl release, which can be pre-ordered here. Trust Records has made an official merch line for SSD, which can be seen here.
SSD vocalist David “Springa” Spring said this about the song:
“It’s kind of my epitaph, my intro to the anger I had to keep bottled up as a child. Because at that time in my life, any display of rebellion was met with severe discipline. Looking back on it now in 2023, I believe it's become an anthem for all the loners who felt like outcasts at their schools and found unity at the gallery of hardcore.”
All four members of SSD will reunite for the first time in 25 years at Boston’s Newbury Comics (348 Newbury Street) on November 22 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This will be a meet and greet with fans and not a live performance.
