Indie folk act The Brother Brothers reveal new album 'The January Album,' release “Lonesome” single
Indie folk act The Brother Brothers, which features identical twin brothers Adam and David Moss, will unveil their fourth studio album this April.
Announced today, The January Album will be released on April 19. The album’s title is an ode to when the act wrote the release back in January 2021. Adam said this about the recording session:
“Almost all of the songs were written in NYC during those first few months of the Covid lockdown and tumultuous police protests in the city. It was important to capture the zeitgeist but also just as important not to dwell on it in the music.”
A new single from the release titled “Lonesome” can be heard below. Adam said this about the new song:
“‘Lonesome’ was the first song we recorded when we got into the studio, and was in the running for an album title. We feel like it’s a perfect vibe for how we were feeling at the time of recording and writing. We were really zoomed out. It’s not just about personal lonesome in the desert. As far as we know, we’re alone in the vastness of space and time.”
