In Hearts Wake drop new environmentally-charged single "Worldwide Suicide"

Australian metalcore band In Hearts Wake are back with a new single titled “Worldwide Suicide.”
Released yesterday, the song deals with the current climate crisis, which hit their home country. "The Australian bushfires have burned over 12 million hectares of land, killing over 1 billion animals. The climate crisis is pounding on our door and we need to take action while there is still a window to turn it around. It's time for profound systemic change as individuals and as a community,” vocalist Jake Taylor said in a statement.
The accompanying music video for the song, which was directed by Taylor, can be seen below, For every 1,000 views for the video, the band will plant a tree along with Earthwalker Tribe. “This will take place next Spring on the East Coast of Australia. Restoring this ecosystem will help sequester carbon, produce oxygen, & provide habitat for wildlife,” the band said in a statement.
In Hearts Wake took some time off after supporting their 2017 studio album Ark, which peaked at number three in the ARIA Charts.
