In Hearts Wake announce new album 'Kaliyuga,' release new single "Son Of A Witch"

Australian metalcore outfit In Hearts Wake will unveil their new studio album Kaliyuga this summer.

Announced today, the record will be released on August 7 via UNFD. This album will be released differently from previous records, though. The band will be using recycled material to create physical products for the release.

To celebrate the announcement, the band dropped their new single “Son Of A Witch,'“ which was inspired by the 2018 Malibu Fires. The coronavirus changed the direction of the single’s music video. Instead of shooting a live action video, the band delivered an animated one. "These challenging times are forcing us to adapt, evolve and discover new ways of doing things. I scoured the internet for an animation team who could bring to life this emotive, sensitive and archetypal narrative about humanity's neglect and mistreatment of Mother Earth. I've never written or directed animation before, but it opened up new possibilities and for that I’m grateful,” vocalist Jake Taylor said.

An interactive website for Kaliyuga is live here. Pre-orders for the album will go live on May 27.
