Imagine Dragons have unveiled the visual for their latest single “Bones” today.

The video, which can be seen below, was directed by Grammy-nominated director Jason Koenig, who is best known for their work with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Ed Sheeran. Vocalist Dan Reynolds said this about the new video, which was influenced by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video:

"I’ve always loved that 'Thriller' was both scary and playful. I didn’t know as a kid if I wanted to watch it again or not for fear of the ensuing nightmares, but I always came back for more with my eyes half-closed.” For his interpretation, the hitmaker came up with a sardonic twist: “The idea of punishing Wall Street with a zombie infection felt like an enjoyable time. And it was."

“Bones,” which is available on digital services right now, is the first single from Imagine Dragons’ forthcoming double album Mercury — Acts 1 & 2. The release will arrive on July 1 via KIDinaKORNER/Interscope. Pre-orders can be made here.

Imagine Dragons will have a slew of tour dates in Canada, Europe, and the United States over the new few months. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
