Hypland to host Tekken 8 tournament in Los Angeles this Saturday

Clothing brand Hypland will bring some Tekken 8 action to its flagship store in Little Tokyo this Saturday (November 23).

Revealed yesterday, Hypland’s Sidewalk Showdown event, which runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., will bring together the best Tekken players from the region. Those looking to participate in the tournament can sign up by 6 p.m. The winner of the tournament will walk away with a pair of Tekken 8 foams provided by event sponsor Nike. Three other pairs of foams will be raffled off throughout the event. Casual play stations will also be on hand for those looking for a simple one-on-one bout with friends. Those interested in attending can RSVP for the event here. Hypland’s Little Tokyo store is located on 200 S San Pedro St.

Tekken 8 sold over two million copies worldwide in its first month of release. The game was recently nominated for Best Fighting Game and Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards and for Stream Game of the Year at The Streamer Awards. Tekken 8 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam) right now. More information about the game can be found here.
