Gojira release new single "Amazonia"
Grammy-nominated metal group Gojira have unveiled another single from their forthcoming studio album Fortitude.
The new single “Amazonia” surrounds the current crisis impacting indigenous tribes in the Amazon. For the accompanying music video, which you can see below, director Charles De Meyer joined forces with filmmakers Vincent Moon, Hauxplay, Jennifer Kumiko Hayashi and Midia Ninja to show the realities of life for indigenous people.
Proceeds from the single will go towards The Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil, which is an organization aiding environmental and cultural rights of indigenous tribes in the Amazon. Gojira will also raise money for the NGO APIB through a month-long auction of rare items from the band and their friends. The auction can be found here.
Fortitude arrives on April 30th via Roadrunner Records. Pre-orders can be made here.
