2021 Global Industry Game Awards winners announced

The winners for the inaugural Global Industry Game Awards have been revealed.

The award ceremony, which was created by the International Game Developers Association, celebrated the individual aspects of gaming. Hades was the big winner of the night with nine awards, including Voice Acting, 2D Animation, and Narrative Design. The full list of winners can be seen below.

IGDA executive director Renee Gittins said this about the ceremony, which was watched by over 12,000 viewers:

“The inaugural GIGA broadcast was an amazing opportunity to celebrate beloved games, and champion the people whose hard work too often goes unacknowledged. By focusing on the human aspect of game development, we are honored to have an award ceremony not only highlighting games but, more importantly, recognizing the talents of a diverse group of international developers.”
