German thrash metal band Tankard dropped their new single "Ex-Fluencer" yesterday.
An accompanying music video, which can be seen below, was filmed at Rockharz Festival earlier this year.
Vocalist Andreas "Gerre" Geremia said this about the song/video:
"The content of the song is about the dark side of social media madness, in which the protagonist visibly loses herself and drifts into a completely surreal world, but fortunately finds her way out again in the end. In my opinion, our guitarist Andi [Gutjahr] has created one of the coolest riffs on the new album, accompanied by scenes from this year's Rockharz Festival with the sensational fans behind, this clip can only mutate into a hit! Click or die!"
"Ex-Fluencer" stems from Tankard’s forthcoming studio album Pavlov’s Dawgs, which will be released on September 30 via Reaper Entertainment. Pre-orders can be made here.
Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
