Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games announced for Nintendo Switch Online
One constant request from Nintendo fans has finally been fulfilled today.
At the Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Game Boy and Game Boy Advance games are now part of Nintendo Switch Online. Game Boy titles that can be played today are Tetris, Super Mario Land 2 – 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX. GARGOYLE’S QUEST, Game & Watch Gallery 3, Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Metroid II – Return of Samus, Wario Land 3, and Kirby’s Dream Land.
Game Boy Advance games that are available now are Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$, Kuru Kuru Kururin, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap.
A slew of additional games will be added to the service in the following months, including Pokémon Trading Card Game and Kirby Tilt ‘N’ Tumble for Game Boy as well as Metroid Fusion and Golden Sun for Game Boy Advance. An announcement trailer can be seen below.
Game Boy games are available for all Nintendo Switch Online members. Those with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership will also gain access to the Game Boy Advance titles.
