Gacha and Catch press preview in Santa Monica (photos)

Gacha machines have been a phenomenon in Japan for decades with various locations in America implementing them as a result. Three major companies are joining forces to bring a massive gacha spot to Santa Monica.
Mitsubishi Corporation, TOMY, and Sega have collaborated for Gacha and Catcha, which takes its spot in the 3rd Street Promenade. Attendees will be able to win prizes from over 100 gacha machines and UFO catchers. Some of the franchises present at this spot include Sonic The Hedgehog, Persona, Barbie, and Stranger Things.
Our photos from yesterday’s press preview event can be seen below. The grand opening for Gacha and Catch will take place tomorrow (Saturday, November 22) at 11 a.m. A special luck draw will take place during the opening weekend to give select attendees a bonus gift. Three attendees will walk away with the grand prize of a showy gacha. The 2nd prize winner will gain 10 tokens while the 3rd prize winner will get 5 tokens. 200 attendees can walk away with a free Gacha and Catch sticker.
Store hours can also be seen below. Gacha and Catch’s official website can be seen here.
