Flying Nun Records announce 40th anniversary show in Wellington

New Zealand record label Flying Nun Records will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a special concert in Wellington.

The event will take place on August 7 at the Michael Fowler Centre, and it’ll feature two stages of music throughout the day. Aldous Harding (solo), The Chills, Reb Fountain, The Bats, The Subliminals, Voom, Superette, and Purple Pilgrims will perform at the celebration. Tickets for this event will go on sale this Thursday (June 24).

Flying Nun Records will also hold a 40th-anniversary concert in Auckland with performances from Aldous Harding (solo), Straitjacket Fits, Reb Fountain, The Bats, The Subliminals, Voom, Superette, Mermaidens, and Wax Chattels. Tickets for this gig, which takes place on July 24 at the Auckland Town Hall, are on sale right now, and they’re going fast.
