Five amazing panels to catch at TwitchCon 2019

Since 2015, TwitchCon has been the epiccenter for Twitch streamers meeting their beloved fans. It's also been a great way for potential streamers to learn the ins and outs of the business. This weekend, the event will return to the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. We look at five great panels taking place during the sold out convention.

Round 2: Feuding Families

Tiltify Charity Plaza

If you're looking for competition for a good case, TwithCon's version of Family Feud is just for you. Hosted by Hyper RPG's Zac and Malika Lim Eubank, 10 competitors will have the chance to raise money for their charity of choice. Who are the combatants for this event? Streamers janellwheeler, Aust1nian, ShiaBun, Kate, QTCinderella, Felicity, Apocalypto_12, SirScoots, pixelsmixel, and Jasmina will put their Twitch knowledge to good use.

One thing people notice about games streamed on Twitch is the music. There's nothing like a good track that'll get the chat room buzzing! Composers Philip Sheppard (Detroit:Become Human), Tom Salta (Tom Clancy franchise), and Doseone (Gang Beasts) will discuss how they brought their beloved music to life. Aside from playing music live, they're letting the audience get involved with the performance. This will be moderated by Raquel Lily.

Drag On Twitch: Meet The Stream Queens!

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m

TwitchUnity Lounge

Drag queen group Stream Queens have been gaining a growing fanbase by playing popular video games in drag. Founded by Deere, this collective has expanded from only a handful of streamers to about 30 members around the world. Deere and fellow Stream Queens members dragtrashly, Elixa, and Joy Stique will talk about their success and how others can join the fun on Twitch.

Engaging Your Community with D&D and Magic: The Gathering

Everywhere you turn, more streamers are playing Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. While many enjoy watching this content, a few individuals might be afraid to jump into games of their own. If you're looking to get more involved in these communities, panelists MishyFishyWhoo, gregtito, GabySpartz, and Hyper RPG's Zac Lim Eubank will discuss how to get started.

Improv for Content Creators

3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

HeyGuys

While improv might be dominant at comedy clubs and theaters, it's been impactful on Twitch. Channels such as Saving Throw, Perception Studio, and Hyper RPG feature a slew of improvised content on a weekly basis. Panelists BizSnes, SourKoolAidShow, Ezekiel_III, and Shryku will discuss how improv can make things better for your streams.
