Chicago experimental/post-punk band FACS will deliver their sixth studio album early next year.

Announced today, Wish Defense will be released on February 7 on Trouble In Mind Records. The seven-track release is the final album engineered by Steve Albini. The beloved engineer would pass away two days after recording sessions began at Electrical Audio. Engineer Sanford Parker (Eyehategod, Youth Code) would take over following Albini’s death. Longtime collaborator John Congleton mixed the record with the assistance of Albini’s notes for the session.

To celebrate the announcement, FACS unveiled the title track, which arrives with a music video directed by Joshua Ford. The visual, which features choreographer/dancer Megan Paradowski, can be seen here.

Pre-orders for Wish Defense can be made here. FACS will embark on a trek across Europe in support of the album in Febuary. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
