Digimon Adventure to receive anime reboot in April

Popular anime series Digimon Adventure will get a clean slate thanks to an upcoming reboot.

Announced today, Toei Animation will released an updated retelling of the beloved anime. This time around, the series takes place in the year 2020. The company will also unveiled a brand new card game based on the upcoming series in the near future. A teaser trailer for the show can be seen below. The show will air on Japanese channels on Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

This news comes one month before the Japanese release of Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. The movie takes place five years after the events of Digimon Adventure tri. Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna will be released in a subbed fashion in North American theaters on March 25, 2020. Tickets for this one night only event go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 7 here.
