Devil May Cry gets new anime series on Netflix

Capcom’s Devil May Cry is making its return to anime.

On Wednesday, Netflix revealed they’ll be releasing a new anime series based on the popular Capcom video game series. This series will be produced by Studio Mir, who are best known for their work on Netflix’s Voltron: Legendary Defender and Dota: Dragon's Blood. Adi Shankar, who worked on Netflix’s Castlevania series, will be the showrunner for this new show.

An announcement trailer can be seen below. More information about the show will be revealed soon.

In 2007, Devil May Cry gained an anime adaptation from anime studio Madhouse, who are best known for titles such as Hunter × Hunter, Overlord, and Trigun. This adaptation is currently streaming on Crunchyroll right now here.

The last installment of the Devil May Cry series was 2019’s Devil May Cry 5, which won for Best Action Game at The Game Awards.
