Desert Daze 2024 has been cancelled

The 2024 installment of Desert Daze has officially been cancelled.

Announced today, the festival has been cancelled due to rising production costs. The four-day festival, which was set to take Lake Perris in California from October 10 through October 13, was slated to have performances from Alex G, Jack White, Molchat Doma, Power Trip, and Liz Phair. Refunds will be given shortly.

The folks behind Desert Daze still have a slew of individual concerts throughout SoCal in the following months, including King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard at The Forum, Marc Rebillet at The Belasco, and Slift at Teragram Ballroom. More information about their individual shows, which also take place in Canada and NYC, can be found here.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
