Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will make its return to North American theaters next month.

Revealed today, the movie will be re-released in theaters on May 14 in a new 4k format. Tickets for the re-release will go on sale to the general public Wednesday, April 30. A trailer for the re-release can be seen here.

Originally released in 2020, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train holds the records for the highest-grossing anime movie of all time, the highest-grossing Japanese film of all time, and the highest-grossing R-rated animated film of all time with over $500 million earned at the box office. In a world riddled with demons, a young man, Tanjiro Kamado, and his comrades investigate the disappearance of passengers aboard a mysterious train as members of the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization dedicated to protecting humanity. With the help of a powerful ally, these Demon Slayers must confront evil in a heroic battle to bring an end to the nightmare!

On September 12, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle will be released in theaters in North America. This will be the first release in a trilogy of films taking place after Demon Slayer’s fourth season.
