Death Stranding: Director's Cut is free on the Epic Games Store right now

Epic Games Store’s annual 15 Days of Christmas event delivers 15 free games for a limited time. Today, one of the biggest games in the past few years is available to download for free right now.

Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding: Director's Cut will be available to download for free until tomorrow (December 26) at 8 a.m. PST. Released in 2019, Death Stranding follows a courier named Sam Porter Bridges, who has to ship supplies to isolated areas. The game sold five million copies and earned a slew of awards, including Best Game Direction and Best Score/Music at The Game Awards 2019.

Previously a PlayStation exclusive, a PC port was released in July 2020. The Director’s Cut features a slew of visual enhancements and photo mode. The Director’s Cut made its way to PC earlier this year.

Death Stranding 2 was announced at The Game Awards earlier this month. A film adaptation is also in the works by Hammerstone Studios.

Update: The Epic Games Store accidentally gave away the Director’s Cut for free. The base game is still available for free.
