Death metal rhythm game Krimson gets March 2024 release date

Death metal rhythm game Krimson is set to be released next month.

Announced today, the game will arrive on March 21 via PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. An announcement trailer can be seen below.

A synopsis for the game reads:

Krimson is not your typical platformer. It’s a gritty, heart-pounding journey through a nightmarish hellscape, where you play as an unknown spawn navigating a tortured landscape. But this isn’t just any underworld—it pulses, throbs, and writhes to the relentless beat of heavy electronic metal music. Your every move must sync with the rhythm, or you’ll face swift and brutal consequences.

A demo for the game is available on Steam right now here. Krimson is developed by CryingPsycho, who also worked on the game’s soundtrack. A sample of the game’s music can be heard on Bandcamp. The game is being published by PM Studios.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
