Danger Mouse video game arriving in 2026

Iconic cartoon character Danger Mouse will have its first video game in 40 years next year.

The Danger Mouse game is being developed by Art of Play Interactive in cooperation with Boat Rocker Studios. The game is slated for a Q3 2026 release on PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation. An announcement trailer can be seen here.

A synopsis for the game reads:

Danger Mouse is an arcade-style action-adventure game coming to PC and consoles. Play as Danger Mouse or his earnest and reluctant assistant, Penfold, in this 15-level adventure. Legendary epic supervillain Baron Greenback has fallen on hard times. Feeling nostalgic for the bad old days, Greenback launches his boldest evil plan yet, forcing Danger Mouse and Penfold to re-live all their epic encounters.. Experience this brand-new addition to the canon through full-screen cut scenes and captivating in-game visuals, hand-illustrated and animated frame-by-frame by seasoned artists and Art Of Play’s dedicated in-house 2D creative team.

The Danger Mouse game can be wishlisted on Steam right now here. This will be the fourth Danger Mouse video game following 1985’s Danger Mouse in Making Whoopee! on PC. Danger Mouse would make the jump to mobile gaming with 2010’s Danger Mouse: Quiz and 2011’s Danger Mouse.
