Crunchyroll unveils special mini-episodes of 'Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You'

Crunchyroll is giving fans an early look at forthcoming anime series Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You.

Released today, the anime streaming service have unveiled 12 mini-episodes of the series. Each mini-episode is 10 minutes long, and the entire run of mini-episodes will take viewers through the first six episodes of the show in chronological order. The mini-episodes can be seen here.

A synopsis for Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You reads:

Sasaki is an overworked salaryman drifting through the corporate grind, sustained by cigarettes and the cheerful service and smile of Yamada, the clerk at his favorite supermarket. But one night after a grueling shift, he arrives late to find Yamada nowhere to be seen. With nowhere left to smoke, his spirits sink—until a pierced young woman calls out to him: “You can smoke here.”

An official July release date for Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You will be unveiled soon. The anime is based on Jinushi’s manga of the same name.
