Crunchyroll will take a deeper dive into anime with a brand-new podcast in collaboration with Sony Music.
Revealed today, The Anime Effect will be a weekly podcast discussing the impact anime has on pop culture. Co-hosted by Crunchyroll News publisher Nicholas Friedman, Crunchyroll brand manager LeAlec Murray, and Crunchyroll partnerships manager Leah President, the podcast will make its debut on February 16 with new episodes dropping every Friday. Gita Rebbapragada, Crunchyroll’s Chief Operating Officer said this about the new podcast:
“The Anime Effect is a natural extension of our current Crunchyroll News program and a place where fans can dive deeper into everything anime and celebrate it regardless of what platform or service it is on. Whether you watch anime every day or are a casual viewer, this podcast is a must-listen.”
The Anime Effect will be available on all streaming platforms here, and it’ll also be available in video format on YouTube and the Crunchyroll app.
