Chocobo GP and Chocobo GP Lite to arrive on the Nintendo Switch in March 2022

Announced today, Chocobo GP will launch on the Nintendo Switch on March 10, 2022.

The Chocobo kart racing game allows players to battle in 64-player tournaments with players from around the world. There will also be a free version for those who want to test the game out. Chocobo GP Lite, which will be released simultaneously with Chocobo GP, will also players to play through the Story Mode prologue and battle friends in online multiplayer races. These races will only work if a friend with a paid version of Chocobo GP is the host. Players can also transfer their save data from Chocobo GP Lite to the main game to keep the fun going.

Chocobo GP is the sequel to the 1999 title Chocobo Racing, which was released on the PlayStation. A racing game titled Chocobo Racing 3D was slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS, but it was cancelled.
