Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc to be released in Japan this September

A release date for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has been revealed at AnimeJapan 2025 today.
The anime film will be released in movie theaters across Japan on September 19. Tatsuya Yoshihara, who is best known for their work on Black Clover, is directing the film. Yoshihara worked on the Chainsaw Man anime as an animator and also directed two episodes of the show. A new release date trailer for the film can be seen here. International theatrical release dates will be unveiled soon.

Denji is a young boy who works as a Devil Hunter with the “Chainsaw Devil” Pochita. One day, as he was living his miserable life trying to pay off the debt he inherited from his parents, he got betrayed and killed. As he was losing his consciousness, he made a deal with Pochita, and got resurrected as the “Chainsaw Man”: the owner of the Devil’s heart.
