French electro-swing act Caravan Palace have unveiled their new single “Reverse” today.
The new song, which can be heard below, is another taste of Caravan Palace forthcoming studio album slated for a 2024 release. Co-songwriter and bassist Charles Delaporte said this about the new song:
“It’s a jigsaw puzzle of a song. There are many elements in there, but we tried to keep the sound simple. The production was the tricky part. It’s complicated to put it together, but when you do.. bam!.. the impact is instant.”
Co-songwriter and guitarist Arnaud de Bosredon also said:
“It’s a sunny song, bedevilled by dark verses. The chorus is about having fun and dancing. The verses are about being alone in a dark place. Schizophrenic is how I’d describe it.”
“Reverse” is on digital services right now. Caravan Palace’s last studio album was 2019’s Chronologic, which peaked at number two on the Heatseekers Albums chart and number nine on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Next March, Caravan Palace will embark on a headlining tour across France, Belgium, and the U.K. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
