Canadian indie rock band The Royal Foundry release new single "I Give Up"
Canadian indie rock band The Royal Foundry have delivered their new single “I Give Up” today.
An accompanying music video for the song can be seen below. Vocalist Jared Salte said this about the song, which was produced by Ryan Worsley (Dear Rouge, MONOWHALES, Nuela Charles):
"(I Give Up) is about giving into the harsh reality of life so that you can become the best version possible of yourself. To stop fighting the inevitable desires to be something/someone else and to give in to your natural draw to be yourself. This song was inspired by the house fire that left Bethany and I without a home. This experience taught us that the only way to move forward sometimes is to give up and surrender to the moment. It can be a helpless feeling to watch what you work for and love burn, but in a way, there's a freedom in accepting the inevitable and moving forward."
On November 16, The Royal Foundry will headline The Starlite Room in Edmonton as part of the Together YEG Concert series. Celeigh Cardinal, Eric Kane, and Tea G will join the show as support. Tickets for the 18+ show are on sale to the general public right now here. “I Give Up” is available on digital services right now here.
