Cabaret Voltaire announce release of 'Chance Versus Causality' soundtrack

In 1979, iconic industrial outfit Cabaret Voltaire were asked to record the soundtrack to Babeth Mondini’s film Chance Versus Causality. Without any knowledge of the movie, the members recorded it live in their studio. 15 years ago, the band found the only copy of the soundtrack and decided to put it in safe keeping for a potential release.
Today, the band announced this hard to find soundtrack will be released for the very first time on August 30 through Mute Records. That same day, Cabaret Voltaire will release 1974-76 for the first time on vinyl. This compilation album was first released back in 1980. Pre-orders for both albums can be made here.
A new Cabaret Voltaire album is currently in the works. Their last studio album was 1994’s The Conversation.
